Week 15: "I'm so glad God gave you me" October 12-18, 2021
Hello everyone
This week was a weird one. We had something
basically everyday that took up our time from zone conference to exchanges to a
why I believe devotional. We also biked so much this week. As I was biking up
this huge hill this week I had a moment where it really hit me how important
this work is to me. I would never bike up a huge hill for just anything. I love
Jesus Christ and I love these people and those are the only reasons I would
bike up that hill.
Here's a short recap of the week:
Monday: After pday ended, we had FHE with the
Perez familia. They are so sweet and adorable. It was super cold outside and I
didn't have a jacket so Hermana Perez gave me a beautiful shawl from Mexico.
She wouldn't let me give it back so yeah.
Tuesday: exchanges! I don't like exchanges
even though my STLs are awesome. It's just weird not working in my area.
Wednesday: zone conference! It was great. We
are focusing on family history work which is perfect timing with Día de los
Muertos coming up.
Thursday: I had something going on with my eye
and it was super swollen and painful and I spent the day with tears just
streaming down my face... kinda awkward.
Friday: we had district council and our
district leader made Hermana Jenkins and I roleplay in front of everyone
without any prep. It was terrifying but it went so amazing and it really felt
like we taught with the spirit even though it was a practice.
Saturday: we biked 17 billion miles. I was
completely dead. But we had quite a few killer lessons which was so amazing.
God made up for our suffering haha.
Sunday: Why I Believe YSA. Holy. Why I believe
is a devotional where recent converts share why they believe and why they
joined the church. This was my first one and it was so powerful and beautiful.
Definitely a highlight of the week.
This week was physically exhausting but very
spiritually uplifting. I finished reading the BOM and started reading again.
There is so much power in that book. Read it and your life will change. The
beginning of 1 Nephi 4 talks about how mighty our God is. He can do the
impossible, He has done the impossible, and He will continue to do the
impossible. Turn to Him!
I love Jesus, I love this mission, I love you
all!
Love, Hermana Snow
