Week 16: not if, but when... October 19-25, 2021
Hello lovely people! October 25, 2021
Not really sure what to say about this week
lol. I still hate biking. Ans I still think Las Vegas is super gross and ugly.
But im loving it even when I don't. Also coming on my missionary has made me
realize I have a weak stomach and I'm very picky (sorry mom). We eat a lot of
fish at members house which makes me gag, in my mind of course. And everyone
loooves shrimp... I will never understand why haha. My next area I will
definitely say I'm allergic to seafood :)
Everything is pretty good here in Paraiso. We
sadly had to drop the baptismal date of someone we have been teaching for a
while. It was heartbreaking but I kept thinking about what one of the speakers
said at a why I believe devotional. He had said he believes it's a when not if
question for when someone chooses Jesus Christ. Her time may not be now, but I
do know that it will happen someday.
In some happier news, we are teaching these
super adorable girls: Helena and Isabel. Their dad is an inactive member, and
their mom is not a member. We asked this week if they wanted to be baptized and
they said yes!! They really want to be baptized but they must get permission
from their mom and she's not into the idea so that's been rough. Please pray
for them and their mom!
I had my second interview with President
Rodarte this week. He's such a great person. He literally just spent the whole
time hyping me up and kept saying how much progress I've made and how proud he
is of me. It was kinda awkward but really helped. I definitely get discouraged,
especially being around so many amazing, experienced missionaries. But Hermana
Jenkins and I just kept saying Phillipians 4:13 which is also my mission
scripture. We really can do all things through Jesus Christ.
I love you all!
Love your misionera favorita,
Hermana Snow
