Week 38: Puchica! March 24-30, 2022

Oh my goodness! I love Guatemala! I've started to more fully embrace the culture and the people. I'm learning Guatemalan words and phrases and how to snap my fingers the chapina way. Not that things arent hard. They're still hard. But it's fun and exciting now too. 

This week we had some great lessons. We've been super busy with nurse stuff so we haven't had a lot of time in our area. But it never feels like we are slacking off in our area. Somehow God makes up for the time we lost with our assignment. But the lessons. One we had with our neighbor José. He's super cool and super old. We taught him the Restoration. It wasn't the best or worst lesson and we felt the spirit. But Hermana Vela said the closing prayer and the Spirit was SO STRONG. I don't understand why but it was so powerful and  he even began to tear up. 

We also set our friend Lauriano on date. We kind of tricked him by asking him the baptismal interview questions without him knowing and he passed the "interview" we told him that and he laughed and said we tricked him but he accepted April 16! Pleasssse pray for Lauriano. 

Watch conference this weekend! It's going to be so amazingly edifying, I promise! You will feel God's love and you will receive answers to your questions! Remember God loves you and I love you!

Week 60: September 1-7, 2022 I know this church is Christ's Church

  Helloooo!                                                                                         September 7, 2022   This week was super eventful. The boys that were baptized last Wednesday were confirmed in church on Sunday. It was so sweet to see them in their white shirt and tie. One of them bore their testimony and at the end said so powerfully, "I know this church is Christ's church." It touched my heart so much to hear that.  We had a bad rainstorm on Monday.
