Week 27: GUATEMALA : like legit this time January 10, 2022


 

Hey Everyone                                                                                   January 10, 2022

 This week was so amazing and crazy. So many things happened so hopefully I remember everything. 

I got the news that I will be going to Guatemala February 1st. I'm honestly so excited and I feel so ready to go! I'll be sad to leave the NLVM but I can't wait to go. 

It started out with our district getting covid (rip warm springs zone) and so we had to quarantine. And so two days we were inside. That sucks as a missionary. Like it sucks normally but it's next level as a missionary. We decided to make it a competition though and said whoever finds the most people this week on the district wins (I promise we take this work seriously). But we found so many people! It was so great. We ended up being tied anyway so it's ok haha. 

Well, day three of quarantine we were over it. And then we got an email letting us know President Ballard was going to visit our mission and the west mission... and ummmmm we were supposed to be on quarantine. We were not feeling bad at all and we decided to get a covid test so we could test negative and go. The thing is is everyone and their dog freaking has covid so it is impossible to get one. We thought maybe we could find an at-home one but they were all sold out. Miraculously we were able to find one (shout out to Sis Church, love her). We tested negative so we were able to go to the devotional. 

You guys. It was so amazing to hear from an apostle of the Lord. He's such an adorable man and he has so much wisdom. I left that meeting feeling so loved and grateful to be serving a mission. I also got to see Sister Shannon my second cousin or whatever. Which was pretty cool. I also got to say goodbye to a lot of people. It was such a miracle we were able to go. 

We also were able to set two people on date this week and it's so exciting. One of them specifically asked us when transfers were so she could have us be her missionaries. It made me so happy! 

I love you all. Follow the prophet and know that God loves you.

Week 60: September 1-7, 2022 I know this church is Christ's Church

  Helloooo!                                                                                         September 7, 2022   This week was super eventful. The boys that were baptized last Wednesday were confirmed in church on Sunday. It was so sweet to see them in their white shirt and tie.
