Week 37: Yes, I'm alive! March 17-23, 2022
Hello fam and friends!! March 23, 2022
It's been an interesting week to say the
least, but in a good way! To start off, sorry for the lack of emails the past
two weeks. Anywhooo, last week was transfers! And of course I was transferred
haha #storyofmylife I am now in my third area in Guatemala: Reformita. Im back
in the city which I wasn't too happy about. Santa Lucía is such a beautiful
place and my companion was so awesome. Truly three weeks of Paraiso. But
Reformita is really awesome. I'm pretty sure this is one of the richest areas
in the mission. I was also given the assignment of enfermera de la misión,
mission nurse... it seems like a lot more than I can handle but it's also
really fun. You get to know missionaries VERY well, sometimes too well with
this assignment. It does take time away from our area but we also get to serve
the whole mission so that's cool. My new comp is Hermana Vela. She's from Cobán
in Guatemala so she's teaching me how to be a true Chapina. She also spent 8
months in the US so her English is really good! She's super cute and a really
good missionary.
The day of transfers was absolutely insane and
one day I'm going to make a movie out of it because it was one of the oddest,
funniest days of my life. Long story short I got to know the entire mission in
a nine hour microbus ride filled with missionaries.
I'm very grateful for this opportunity to
serve here in Guatemala. About four weeks ago I was in a call with my family
and I told them a list of things that I just absolutely did not like about
here. It took a second to adjust, and a lot of prayers and fasting, but I
really do love it here. There are some amazing people in Guatemala and the
church is so strong here. I'm so happy to be where I am, serving the
Lord.
Remember God loves you and I love you too!
