Week 42: April 21-27, 2022
Hello everyone! April 27, 2022
We got transfer news! And for the first time in my whole mission nothing is changing for me!!! I'm so excited to get another transfer with Hermana Vela in Reformita.
We also work very closely with the Elders in the office because of nurse stuff. They have basically known what's going to happen for the past week. We have been trying to get them to tell us what's going to happen. One of the elders convinced us he was leaving and so we all said our goodbyes, had goodbye lunch, and then he stayed... Fun times...
We fasted with Cindy this week so she would have the courage to tell her husband that she's talking with us. He's a pretty angry person and anti the church. Soooo we were so nervous. But she wants to be baptized so bad (it's so cool to see) and she told him! She fasted all Sunday and then talked with him Monday. He was grumpy and annoyed about it but he didn't get upset with her! We are so happy! She still needs to tell him she wants to be baptized but one step at a time.
The past couple of weeks we have struggled finding more people to teach because we are so busy with enfermería and our progressing people. This week though we had so many great first lessons with people and have found people that are really interested. One person we found even teared up when we talked about Joseph Smith's first vision.
All of the regular people we get to church couldn't come this Sunday. We were praying for people to come and we had 5 people show up. One was an old investigator we lost contact with because her phone was stolen. She just showed up and we are teaching her again! The Lord always provides!
I've been rereading the conference talks and man, there's a lot of good stuff! It's so amazing we have a modern day prophet who leads and guides us! You should all go read a talk from this conference, especially if you haven't yet!
