Week 41: Ghost Town April 14-20, 2022

 

Hey Everyone,                                                                                      April 20, 2022

 

So literally everyone leaves town for semana santa so Thursday to Sunday was slowwwww. We were told by members to stay in because its dangerous during this week, so we did. So not much happened this week but my mom would kill me if I didn't write another email so here it is :)

 

We live on a busy street corner. Because if that our windows are reflective and you cant see into the house. We were really bored calling people so every time someone walked by (which was rare) we yelled "Señoooooor, señoooooor!" And watched them look around to find who was talking to them haha. Poor people of reformita.

We had zone conference. Normally I love zone conf but it was kinda boring this time... but I did win a Book of Mormon challenge in my zone. 

A few weeks ago we promised one of our friends that the next time he drank alcohol it would be too bitter for him to drink. We called him this week and he said he had been throwing up all day after drinking a beer. We had to mute the call to squeal! Sadly he believes that everything is true he just doesn't want to change his lifestyle.

We are also teaching a lady named Cindy. She's honestly so amazing. She has such a beautiful testimony and faith in Christ. She told us that if she weren't married she would already be baptized. Her husband doesn't know we are talking with her and we called her one time when he was there. He got really upset at that and it was a two minute call. Soooo... we are going to fast with her this Sunday so she can tell him Monday. She also asked if we gave special blessings because she felt like she needed something. We talked to her about priesthood blessings and her neighbor is going to give her one later this week. Please pray for Cindy and her husband!
