Week 49: Threes Company June 16-22, 2022

Hello everyone! June 22, 2022

This week was a bit of a Rollercoaster. I'm loving the mission, my assignment, and my companions. Yep, I'm in trio again. It's me, Hermana Vela, and Hermana Pavón. Hermana Pavóns comp left the first week of the transfer so we were put together. We don't know if she is going to stay but she's been here a week soooo

We had stake conference this week and honestly it was so amazing. Elder Gonzalez from the seventy spoke and it was powerful. What he shared made me think so much about those that feel ostracized from the church for whatever reason. It is our responsibility as members to help others feel the Saviors love. We cannot do that by excluding people or by making people feel lesser than. We should help everyone feel loved and welcomed. This is the church of Jesus Christ and everyone should feel His love when attending church or whenever they talk with those who have covenanted with Him to help His children.

I was having a rough time feeling like I was doing enough. We went out for a lesson and she canceled. We decided to go street contacting in an area that's kind of far but because she canceled we were able to make it with enough time to actually do something. We knocked a door and the lady let us come into her house to sing a hymn for her. We sang I am a child of God and she started crying! It was such a sweet experience. And then we met her daughter who has down syndrome. I always feel such a connection with those that have family members with down syndrome. It was exactly what I needed and I was so grateful. We are going back Friday for some arroz con Leche
