Week 55: Long Time No See July 28- August 3, 2022
Hey Everyone August 3, 2022
Its been a long while since i
have written. Oops hehe. But I’m alive, all is good. Its been a crazy couple of
weeks and for that I’ve been struggling to find time to write.
This week I hit 13 months in the mission
its
absolutely crazy! Time flies so fast!
Since its been a while, here’s a quick update
on what’s new:
-I’m no longer in Reformita
my new area
is Fuentes, still in the city though
-my transfer also means I’m no longer mission
nurse
lots of mixed
feelings about that
-in other news, I'm Sister training leader
again. Wasn’t happy about that but I'm trying to just enjoy the parts I enjoy
and get better at the parts I don’t.
-I’m in trio
my compis are
Hermana Martinez and Hermana Barrios. They are so awesome, they love to work,
and are so sweet. It's been a party!
Today i hit 6 months in Guatemala. It's crazy I’ve
been here so long. It feels like just yesterday i got here. But also to see the
progress I’ve made is so comforting. Satan definitely loves to tell me I’m not
good enough and sometimes I listen. But to see the progression I’ve made in the
language, my confidence as a missionary, and the strength of my testimony, makes me realize how much the Lord has helped me even in my weaknesses. But
after being here 6 months I can say that I love this country so much. I love
the people, the Weather, the superstitions, the culture, I love it here.
I’m so grateful for all the people I’ve met.
We are teaching some pretty amazing people right now. Many are really close to
being baptized and last night we had a beautiful lesson with two of them. A
Mother (92) and her son (54). They are so kind! They tell us every time we call
that we are their family and how grateful they are for us. Yesterday we taught
them more about temples and family history. As one of my companions was
speaking i had a very sweet feeling that their family was there and that they
were doing all they could to help these two get baptized. I’m so grateful that
Jesús Christ made it possible for us to be with our families for eternity. For
me, the hardest part about serving a mission has been being away from my
family. I love them so much! But i have eternity with them and now I’m focused
on helping others have their family for eternity too.
Love you all! Go give your family a hug and
tell them you’re grateful for them.
